Scientific readings in memory of Academician I.D. Kovalchenko (1923-1995) are held at the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University regularly, every five years. The academician's significant contribution to historical science, to the development of methodology, source studies, historiography, and quantitative history is recognized by the world scientific community. The memorial conference, held for the sixth time, traditionally discussed the state of development and prospects for the development of scientific areas that were in the sphere of I.D. Kovalchenko's scientific interests. It took place on December 3 , 2018 . at the Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
